I have to drive to the Stop & Shop (with my radio ON, of course) for some non-essential non-storm things, and I am dreading what I will find there today.

I'm going to start pretending I live in Newfoundland. Chatting about the weather with you would be better if we didn't get the same conditions - just 20 minutes later.

A local radio prodigy just said that "the rain we just got was Tropical Storm Earl and that's it for this hurricane stuff. What a let down."
Should I tell him the rest of the hurricane is still about 300 miles south? HA!

I should call in and tell him that if they really call off the hurricane, everybody has to bring back all the crap they bought yesterday. With receipts. Or FEMA comes in and takes it.

People need to store everything they bought in the root cellar. They'll use it when they're hiding down there during the first inch of snow we get this year. It will of course be labeled "Massive Winter Death Blow 2010" by the TV news crews standing next to Rte 128in their logo'd Columbia parkas.
